Newsletter – Watches priced by the kilo Replica Wholesale Center

We start the week with Brice Lechevalier’s interview with Bulgari CEO Jean-Christophe Babin, which appears in issue 48 of GMT magazine, which was published last week. As usual we will be publishing selected articles from our sister magazine along with those that you might already have noticed from other publications in the Edipresse Group, such as Hong Kong Tatler.

There is a great deal of discussion on the topic of watches as art. Although a watch should not be art to be of notice, I am a firm believer in their own capability to straddle the boundaries of purpose, shape, and philosophy where appropriate. In the case of the Corum Bubble watches, it seems to be a brand’s attempt at developing a pure objet d’art. It’s correct, the Corum Bubble watches are not really like anything else the brand makes (or much like anything anyone leaves, for that matter), however they are designed to be beautiful things, which is something that they have in common with other timepieces bearing the Corum logo. The devotion to the world in these bits is staggeringly unwavering. In my view, this collection works simply because it’s so unconcerned with anything but the most loyal realisation of its own unique concept. To make the most of the re-release opportunity, Corum has partnered with famous cymbal manufacturer Paiste. Paiste are enlisted to make a exceptional dial to get your Corum Bubble Paiste special edition watch. The dial of the Corum Bubble Paiste is a tiny cymbal made by Paiste at exactly the exact same manner they would make a full-size cymbal. I’m quietly confident it would function as intended have been it removed from the housing and attached to some kit, but even if it’s only for show, it looks great.

Imagine if watches were sold by weight, just like your local butcher sells his meat or your spice merchant sells his precious saffron. David Chokron does just that this week for WorldTempus, trying to find a correlation between the weight of a watch and its price. In his light-hearted article, he finds one, but it’s not the one you might think. Find out tomorrow on our homepage.

I tested Corum’s new Admiral Legend 42mm automatic while I was on holiday and, in the dunes of Ras Al-Khaimah, it was far removed from the nautical environment that inspired it. Find out today how it coped with the tough task of accompanying me on holiday. Later this week Michèle Brunner gives her impressions on one of the more feminine models in the distinctive Anonimo collection, while Camille Gendre looks at the 125th anniversary of Eberhard & Co.’s Extra-Fort collection.

Corum – Heritage Sublissima Replica Wholesale Center

Housed in a 38 mm diameter case available in white gold or pink gold, The Heritage Sublissima watch is made for women with an elegant and delicate vision of modernity.
It’s actually about time Corum returned the popular Bubble watch – a timepiece collection that initially came out in the year 2000 and served a significant contemporary role in the brand’s history. Finally, the Corum Bubble watch collection was stopped, probably because Corum began to go a bit nuts with some silly limited edition models – that, looking back today, are pretty darn cool. For Baselworld 2015, the Corum Bubble is back, and that I finally have reason to look closely at this brand again.I recall a couple of years ago meeting Corum in Baselworld and inquiring concerning the Bubble and whether we could see one again. Someone sneered at me remarking that “we do not think that’s right for the new anymore. We’ve moved past that.” “Okay…” is all I could react with, and we moved on to seeing more new variants of the Admirals Cup and Golden Bridge collection. I have always enjoyed Corum, but over the past couple of decades, the enjoyable side of this brand appeared to be decreasing and being replaced with a great deal of ill-conceived high-end watches that did nothing to function the image of their brand. Afterwards, the brand chose to adhere double tourbillons into an Admiral’s Cup view, and with their brand new ownership by China Haidian Holdings, I more or less assumed that the brand’s appeal for watch fans was (at least briefly) over. So you can imagine my delighted surprise to hear that the Corum Bubble is back.

Sourced from the ocean depths, the white mother-of-pearl dial is protected by an antireflective sapphire crystal and ringed with a corolla of 25 diamonds (~6.16 ct).
The automatic movement offers an hour and minute function with gold hands and a 50-hour power reserve.

The precious watches are paired with a black alligator-skin strap with a gold pin buckle, which gives character to the timepiece’s combination of sensitivity and sensuality.
The two Sublissima models are issued in 8 pieces in 18K pink gold and 18 pieces in 18K white gold.

Eventually, the Corum Bubble watch set was discontinued, probably because Corum began to go a little nuts with some silly limited edition versions – which, looking back today, are pretty darn cool. Someone sneered at me remarking that “we do not think that is ideal for the brand anymore. We’ve moved past that.” “Okay…” is all I could respond with, and we moved on to seeing more new variations of this Admirals Cup and Golden Bridge collection. I’ve always liked Corum, but over the past couple of years, the fun side of the brand appeared to be diminishing and being substituted with a lot of ill-conceived high-end watches that did nothing to serve the image of their brand.
