By the end of the 19th century, the Cuervo y Sobrinos family established a jewelry shop and a replica watch-making atelier in the city of Havana. In less than half a century, thanks to the synergy between the Latin spirit and Swiss manufacturing quality, Cuervo y Sobrinos established itself as a renowned luxury replica watch brand made in Switzerland.
Faithful to its Latin soul and Swiss manufacture that inspires all of its creations, Cuervo y Sobrinos celebrates the occasion of the 135th anniversary of his constitution. To mark this prestigious accomplishment with an iconic piece of his collection, the model Historiador Clàsico is a tribute to the key figure responsible for the restoration program of Old Havana and its historical center.
The first model of the 135th Anniversary will be available in April 2017, a limited edition of only 135 pieces available both in 18 karat rose gold and stainless steel with manual winding movement and small seconds at 6 o’clock. These classic, elegant timepieces are inspired by an original CyS design of the ’50s.
This timepiece, tribute to the replica watch-making tradition of the Brand, available with an exquisite velvet black dial, has “baton” indexes and “1 3 5” applied to the corresponding hours to celebrate the 135th anniversary. For this occasion, the replica watch is combined with an elegant Cuervo y Sobrinos writing instrument, also numbered. Essential is the well-known “Humidor” that Cuervo y Sobrinos uses to present its jewels, specifically created to accommodate both the replica watch and the writing instrument.
