In 1987, the offshore powerboat from the Paul Picot Team was winning the most important competition worldwide. To further consolidate the link between the brand and those fascinating and extreme challenges, Paul Picot created a sport replica watch within its Collection: La Plongeur. The innovative design and the original codes of this creation, made a sensation within the replica watch market.
Since 30 years, the C-type (the advanced model of the La Plongeur) identifies the sporting spirit of Paul Picot. To celebrate this anniversary, the brand from Le Noirmont reveals a new amazing black steel / 18k rose gold version.
Inspired by the creativity and the vision of Mario Boiocchi, founder and President of Paul Picot, together with Hugo Berger, the replica watch designer of the House, one of the most innovative and sensational timepiece in term of design and identity has been developed in 1987. Like the majority of iconic designs, La Plongeur A-Type was unique, deeply simplistic, without details or unnecessary ornaments. It stands out for the intrinsic qualities in its shapes and forms: one circle (to symbolise the case), one line (the lines of the perpendicular pattern used by the designer to define the proportion of bezel, lugs, strap,…), one concept.
La Plongeur was an iconic replica watch and at the same time a very reliable diver instrument. But moreover, the model was different to all other diver and sport replica watches on the market. As a tribute for the 30 years anniversary of this unique replica watch, Paul Picot has created amazing black steel / 18k rose gold version of this historical Collection.
