High Quality Replica Urwerk – The texture shock

A spiky bearing, eye-catching solid skull, intimidating teeth, shiny eyes…My imagination’s running away with me.Two mastodons on the velvet-covered wooden display tray seem ready to do battle.  But, upon closer inspection, my daydreams may well be very real. You just have to look carefully at these two architectural pieces by Urwerk, the UR-105 T-Rex and UR-210 Clou de Paris models, to see their predatory, reptilian and rare side and uncover a pair of dinosaur replica watches from the 21st or 22nd century.

urwerk-ur105-t-rex-watches-news

On the contrary, both the hand-patinated copper armour on the UR-105 T-Rex and the triangular edges of the black DLC-coated titanium and steel UR-210 Clou de Paris are soft to the touch. The thing that really starts your mind ticking is the architecture and texture of both cases. They’re edgy and covered in sharp scales like the tapered body of a large reptile yet despite their aggressive physique, neither of these models “bite”.

Their sheer size may grab your attention on the tray but they really roar to life when they’re wrapped around the wrist: the 39.5mm wide by 53mm long T-Rex and 43.8mm by 53.6mm Clou de Paris settle comfortably onto the arm with their wide black alligator or fabric straps whose chunky mesh brings the “stud” pattern to mind.

urwerk-ur105-trex-wn

UR-105 T-Rex takes its name, or rather surname, from the Tyrannosaurus Rex, the “tyrant lizard king”, a formidable biped predator over 4m tall that lived during the Cretaceous period. Urwerk was inspired by its huge head whose skin has a ribbed look. The case is covered in 3D copper scales lying concentrically. Various treatments create the metal’s patina: micro-beading, micro-sandblasting and oxidation. Rather than a hungry grin, at the bottom of the replica watch the T-Rex wears a U-shaped display showcasing the hours and minutes fuelled by the self-winding UR-5.02 calibre.

The UR-210 Clou de Paris model is a mastodon that’s far easier to tame. Its edgy skull is only partly covered in thinner and smaller scales carved out using the traditional Clou de Paris pattern. Its self-winding UR-7.10 calibre brings to life vagabond hours and retrograde minutes all rimmed with Super-LumiNova.

High Quality Replica Watch : One big trend to spot in 2016, it’s blue’s big comeback

Now it’s back and coating men’s and women’s replica watches ready to sail the high seas, walk the earth and travel the Milky Way as it washes over the straps. If there’s one big trend to spot in 2016, it’s blue’s big comeback. It may often be dropped for more popular, mainstream and easy to match colours like black, white and silver but blue has popped up in collections over the last few years. It keeps a low profile but it’s definitely here, often in the small details.

Blue may be seen as cold in graphic art but it’s a colour that’s full of tone and life. Here are four examples to prove it.

Sea blue

The blue dial is dotted with luminescent triangular markers with the hours, minutes and chronograph seconds in the centre. Two blue counters at 9 and 3 o’clock display the seconds and chronograph minutes. When you think of blue, you naturally think of the ocean, the deep sea and whales. The colour whisks you off the coast to play at being an adventurer on or under the water which is exactly what Eterna’s Super KonTiki chronograph is made for. Its solid steel case (45mm diameter, 16mm thick) is topped by a rotating blue bezel; it houses the self-winding 3916A calibre which provides a 65-hour power reserve and the time, date and chronograph functions.

True blue

“Overseas” is literally an invitation to travel and cross the ocean. The collection has been reinvented by Vacheron Constantin for 2016 with a range of models including this three-handed stunner with the date. Its clear blue lacquered dial bears luminescent hour markers whilst the minute track lies on the chapter ring. Three silver hands burst from the heart of the azure disc to track the hours, minutes and seconds. The white date display appears at 3 o’clock and the functions are brought to life by the 5100 calibre designed and made by the Genevan brand. The movement fuels the 65-hour power reserve from inside the 41mm steel case.

Complicated blue

We’ve seen the sea, now let’s take to the skies! The heavenly Rotonde de Cartier Day and Night Moon Phase takes its lucky owner to the stars. Its white gold and blue paillonné lacquer dial unveils a semi-circle to track the sun and moon framed by two rows of diamonds in shades of blue. The day goes from left to right, from dawn to dusk, whilst the diamond and blue sapphire moon at the bottom of the dial showcases its seven phases. A hand with a steel ring tip shows the moon’s status whilst a spear-shape hand tracks the minutes brought to life by the 40mm white gold case’s 9912MC calibre.

Feminine blue

The emerald-cut was Harry Winston’s favourite (1846-1978). In 1949 the brand founder bought Hope, the biggest ever blue diamond to be found so far. These two features, cut and colour, gave rise to a new collection: Harry Winston Emerald. Its white gold case (17.75 x 24mm) is paved with 54 diamonds enclosing a quartz movement. The case has the edgy shape of an emerald whilst the bright blue dial is reminiscent of the Hope diamond’s unique colour. The electric energy is elevated by three diamond markers (at 3, 6 and 9) and a white gold HW at 12 beneath the hour and minute hands. A blue satin twin strap wraps the replica watch around the wrist.

High Quality Replica Bomberg – Bolt-68 Barry

Its huge head takes up the centre of the dial with its mahogany and white coat, kind eyes and canine grin. Three red-rimmed hands nestle under its black snout as the self-winding movement fuels the hours, minutes and seconds. A winder lies at 12 on the 45mm steel and black PVD case.

Switzerland’s cultural symbols include the edelweiss and the St Bernard with its iconic brand-filled barrel collar which takes pride of place on the Bomberg Bolt-68 Barry dial. The replica watch is a tribute to the Barry Foundation which has had the oldest St Bernard breeding farm for over 10 years and called Barry in homage to the brave dog who saved over 40 people in the 19th century.

A dark brown leather strap stamped with an edelweiss and glowing with orange stitching adds the finishing touch to this celebration of Switzerland.

High Quality Replica Watch : 12th August, 2016 – The Olympic Edition, by Michael Klim

Important note: My hands are shaking so much it’s hard to type. Why? Michael Klim, the Australian Olympian who did this to the Americans in 2000 – it’s embedded below, too. Sorry Americans.) just saw me in the gym and offered to do a ‘light circuit’ with me. I accepted. And now, I can’t type. I was already going to get him to co-chair the first ever Olympic themed Wind Down, where there’s a dual focus on what happened in the world of replica watches and at the 32nd Olympiad. Now he’s going to have to write it too. This comes to you live from Omega House in Ipanema. Yes, the song is playing. I think it’s on a loop here. For proof, and a live feed, check out Instagram Stories.

AM : The only other pro sports person to do the Friday Wind Down so far is Sids (Australian cricketer Peter Siddle) – have you two ever crossed paths?

MK: I love Sids. We’ve got the same management company. I sent him some KLIM (my brand’s) sunscreen samples to get his feedback – obviously he has quite a fair complexion and he spends a lot of time in the outfield. I remember the day in that Boxing Day test when he got the hat trick. I’m not as fanatical about replica watches as him and I don’t collect, but I’ve had a pretty long association with Omega.

AM: Were you and the guys in the swimming team much into replica watches back in the day?

MK: Coming up as athletes we didn’t really have that disposable income – we were into sports replica watches to train more than anything else. But Omega’s always been the official timekeeper of FINA and there’s always been big swimmers associated with the sport – Popov, Thorpe, Phelps and probably others. I trained with Popov for eight years and he was the face of the brand at that time. He moved to Australia after Barcelona in ’93 where he won two gold medals. He was the tzar of sprint, a 6 foot 8 giant. My roommate Matt Dunn once bought a replica watch in duty free, I remember it well, it was a Breitling – the whole team would usually just stand around the cases staring at them. These days my favourite’s probably the big chunky Seamaster Planet Ocean from the Commonwealth Games in 2006, which was a gift from the brand. We’d bagged a gold in the 4 x 100 medley which was the last event.

What happened

AM: Ceri looked at who wore the Rolex President best, pitting Bieber, Posh and Ike against each other. Who do you reckon wins?

MK: I love when girls wear men’s replica watches. My ex and now my current girlfriend always pinch my replica watches. It’s gone from boyfriend jeans to the replica watch. So it’s all Posh for me. No contest.

VictoriaBeckhamRolex

AM: Do you also have a love a women in Panerai?

MK: Yeah, all the way. It shows self confidence in the girl to wear a replica watch like that – a big, masculine one. It’s subliminal because it shows they have the same taste as you.

emudyvy8

Michael and I agree. Everything is right about this picture apart from the source, we cannot trace it. If it’s your pic, or you, please let us know.

AM: Felix published the long-awaited Daytona review – one of the biggest and most hyped replica watches of the year. What do you think of it?

MK: The anticipation with this one was huge, and sometimes when the hype delivers, like this replica watch does, the hype gets even bigger. If you look at it, it’s slick, and slightly different with the white face. It’s very much the sort of replica watch I like. You could wear it with anything.

Rolex-Cosmograph-Daytona-ref-116500LN-12

“…sometimes when the hype delivers, like this replica watch does, the hype gets even bigger…” Michael Klim on the new Rolex Daytona

AM: In other news, the increasingly bitter John Cleese had a crack at watch prices, calling them ‘unbelievable’…

MK: Nah, I can justify it. Especially for milestone things, like the Commonwealth Games.  I’ll get a replica watch for Rio. The workmanship that goes into one of these puppies, it’s intense, it’s not just machine stamped, you know – it’s a lot of time. I can definitely justify it. I struggle with a quarter of a million, half a million dollars, that kind of money.

What mattered

AM: OK, aside from replica watch talk, what are your highlights from the week?

MK: Mack Horton, Kyle and the women’s freestyle relay. It’s surprising that the individual golds were from places we least expected. It shows there’s a new wave of swimmers coming through in the country. Within the swimming circles we knew Mack had potential and Kyle was one to look for in the future, but they’re here, right now. You’ve seen how hard it is to deliver on the big stage. Cate said she let her psyche get to her, McEvoy also said the occasion got the better of him. It’s funny that. It’s all individualised perception, because at the end of the day it’s just a swimming race. We create all this hype, this fear and then they think if the audience value it, we should too.

AM: We met Omega’s new chief executive, Raynald Aeschlimann – what were your impressions?

MK: I like him. He’s flamboyant. He’s not your typical Swiss. He’s quite opinionated. He didn’t mind giving us a serve last night when we didn’t win. It seems representative of where the brand’s going. He’s dynamic. And his support of Phelps shows great loyalty.

AM: Speaking of Phelps, how high do you rate his performance?

MK: There haven’t been too many successful comebacks as big as this one. He didn’t come back and just win, he dominated. You do ask yourself the question, could he do another four years? He still has the hundred fly to race. It’s going to be hard to win – he’s got to beat this Singaporean guy Schooling, who’s point seven of a second ahead of him.

Mid-Year Swiss Watch Sales Results Show Industry Beset By ‘Perfect Storm’

The steep declines in sales volume as well as profits seen in recent months continue – showing an industry struggling with external negative forces beyond its control, but also, internal issues as well. The mid-year results for the Swiss watch industry have just been released by the Federation of the Swiss Watch Industry FH.

They were worth 1.6 billion francs in June, 16.1% less than in June 2015.”The report stated in part that “Swiss watch industry exports fell faster than at any other time in the first half, reflecting the difficulties with which the branch has had to contend for many months.

In terms of price segment, the report states: “Watches priced between 500 and 3,000 francs (export price) are the only ones to have avoided a double digit decline.Precious metal watches appear hardest hit, showing a 31% decline, although all materials categories were down.   They followed the same trend as in the past twelve months. The 200-500 francs category posted the steepest falls. Timepieces priced above 3,000 francs also lost nearly 20% in value (-19.5%) as compared to June 2015.”

“Il n’y a pas de crise.” Nick Hayek Jr. to Le Temps, July 21

In other industry news, Swatch Group reported a 54 percent decline in profits year over year, bringing its first half profits to the lowest in seven years. Despite criticism from some quarters that shareholders are losing confidence in his management of the Group, CEO Nick Hayek insists that no significant changes in operating strategy are necessary, characterizing the present headwinds facing the industry and the group as an “exceptional situation” but not a crisis.

Yet while some analysts acknowledge that there are short term headwinds exerting downward pressure on sales, others see more long-term issues – some outside the industry, and out of its control, but as well, outdated perspectives and an inability to adapt to shifting market demands and tastes. Bloomberg View columnist Leonid Bershidsky writes:

eee

“Swiss watchmakers sailed into a perfect storm this year. The industry, which generates more than $20 billion in exports, was buffeted from all sides – largely by circumstances largely beyond its control, but it’s increasingly clear that the decline will continue unless the industry changes the way it designs and markets its products . . . the Swiss industry can’t lay all the blame on external factors. The commodity, currency and tourism fluctuations are so much white noise that’s distracting the Swiss from their industry’s major problem: The aura of old-world luxury, on which its advertising culture is based, has an increasingly limited appeal in a tech-driven world where the younger generation is, for the first time since World War II, poorer than its parents.”

At the very least, the enormous amount of unsold stock in retailers’ hands will depress sell through for some time; Bershidsky notes that Bloomberg Intelligence data points to unsold stock making up at least 60% of the market capitalization of major Asian market retailers.  The Financial Times reported last May that the Richemont Group is buying back stock from some Hong Kong retailers. In the same story, Richemont chairman Johann Rupert expressed skepticism that any near-term improvement is to be expected, saying, “In the near term, we are doubtful that any meaningful improvement in the trading environment is to be expected.”

BOVET Celebrates the Opening of Its New Location at Asprey of London

Swiss luxury replica watch maker BOVET 1822 has recently unveiled its newest location at the prestigious Asprey of London on Madison Avenue in New York City.

This collaboration between BOVET 1822 and Asprey of London was born of a meeting between two Houses who are fundamentally devoted to nurturing the art of the exceptional, and who share the same values and taste for true luxury.panerai replica watches

Asprey represents BOVET Timepieces internationally within its boutiques as of 2015, when Mr Raffy, owner of BOVET, strengthened this long term partnership by becoming an Asprey shareholder and board member.

Journalists and replica watch influencers came together on Tuesday evening to celebrate the unveiling of BOVET’s newest location in New York City. Guests enjoyed a champagne reception and were able to experience the latest BOVET timepieces including the newest novelty, the 19Thirty, which was on display for the first time in the United States.

Asprey, founded in 1781, has a long and established relationship with British royalty dating back to the 1800’s when Queen Victoria awarded the first Royal Warrant in 1862 for Dressing Cases, Traveling Bags, and Writing Cases. Since then, Asprey has held a Royal Warrant for every British monarch and several other foreign heads of state including The Prince of Wales, HRH Prince Charles who awarded Asprey a Royal Warrant as Jewelers, Goldsmiths and Silversmiths. Asprey continues to hold this royal warrant today, creating heirlooms of the future.

During the first universal exposition held in Paris in the 19th century, BOVET was awarded a gold medal in the “luxury” category for a pair of pocket replica watches ordered by the Chinese Emperor. Since the last decade, BOVET has won more than 10 prizes around the world celebrating its uniqueness and incomparable mechanical prowess and artistic density.

A promising future awaits these two Maisons who honor the nobility of British elegance and the excellence of Swiss replica watchmaking, offering a beautiful expression of true luxury and the measurement of time.

As for BOVET, at the dawn of the 19th century, Edouard Bovet left London to conquer China, where he quickly became a pocket replica watch supplier to the Chinese Emperor and his court. Today, many BOVET pocket replica watches are still present in the rooms of the Forbidden City. One is even visible in the palace’s central hall. Finally, it was in London on May 1st, 1822 that the BOVET name was registered as a trademark.

The Delicated MeisterSinger Circular wins the German Design Award

After winning the iF and Red Dot Awards, the Münster-based replica watchmaker has now also netted the German Design Award.

The Circularis, made by Münster-based manufacturer MeisterSinger, has won the German Design Award, the internationally coveted prize presented by the German Design Council. The award is bestowed in recognition of products that are uniquely trend setting in the German and international design worlds.

Their positioning and, above all, the unique, exquisitely shaped bridge, give this timepiece its highly unusual design and underscore MeisterSinger’s aspiration to visibly merge its creative and technical ideals in one perfect wristwatch. For the first time, founder and designer Manfred Brassler has created not only the dial and the case of a replica watch, but also the finely balanced appearance of the movement, an ideal power house for a beautifully designed chronometer that has now carried off yet another prestigious award.

MeisterSinger founder and designer Manfred Brassler has already won not only the iF Design Award 2015 for the replica watch design, but also the Red Dot Award 2015 for the movement. The Circularis, which has been part of the MeisterSinger collection since 2014, convincingly combines the outstanding technical quality and the aesthetic ideals of this exclusive replica watch manufacturer.

To do justice to the diversity of the products submitted, the Excellent Product Design segment is divided into ten categories that cover all aspects of daily life. Evaluation criteria such as functionality, usability, overall concept, and technical quality decide whether a product is sufficiently impressive to win an award.

The hour digits are displayed on the dial in a fine serif typeface. A circular recess in the center provides structural depth, particularly in its interplay with the sunburst pattern on its sapphire-blue or silver-white dial. Twelve slender line indices accentuate the inherent nature of the single-hand replica watch: An eye for the truly important things in life. The replica watch is powered by a manually wound movement, specially developed for MeisterSinger by Swiss craftsmen to meet its exacting standards: The robust MSH01 movement powers the single hour hand with amazing precision and features an ample 120-hour power reserve, driven by twin mainspring barrels.

Jaeger-LeCoultre presents ‘Two Worlds’

Renowned for its longstanding commitment to the worlds of cinema and photography, Jaeger-LeCoultre presents an original photographic exhibition at its New York flagship on Madison Avenue, from November 17th– 30th.

‘Two Worlds’ offers a unique rendezvous with an inspiring actress, her finger firmly on the beat of time, and a meaningful replica watch collection, the Rendez-Vous, that grasps each moment with authentic fervour. The symbiosis between Sarah Gadon and her replica watch is beautifully captured by Caitlin Cronenberg in this series of photographs.panerai replica watches

Entitled ‘Two Worlds’, this series of outstanding photographs by Caitlin Cronenberg capture the elegance, free-spirit and spontaneous personality of actress SarahGadon wearing a Jaeger-LeCoultre RendezVous replica watch.

The Canadian screen award-winning actress oscillates, between two diametrically opposed universes of her old and new life in New York. She gravitates between Brooklyn and Manhattan, alternatively enjoying her home or exploring the city.

“Each replica watch becomes a tiny piece of art which you carry with you every day”, Sarah Gadon confided after she fell in love with the Rendez-Vous Collection back in September 2013 during the 70th Venice International Film Festival. “Whenever I work with Caitlin we spend time ahead of the shoot creating and discussing the character at the heart of the shoot. In the spirit of New York we took to the streets to capture the real-time energy of the city” she adds.

After graduating from Ryerson University in 2006 with a degree in Fashion Design, Toronto-born Caitlin Cronenberg decided to shift direction and pursue a career in photography. She has shot the images for a number of international movie posters and captured many behind the scenes film pictures. The uniqueness and duality of ‘Two Worlds’ perfectly epitomizes her inspiration and creative signature.

Since 2006, Jaeger-LeCoultre has also been associated with the Jeu de Paume Museum in Paris, one of the world’s most renowned institutions in the area of photography and contemporary art. The Manufacture has in particular partnered some retrospective exhibitions devoted to photographers such as Cindy Sherman, Lee Friedlander, Edward Steichen and Richard Avedon. Jaeger LeCoultre’s wish to associate its international influence with that of photography regularly contributes to the creation of projects with established talents as well as with youthful photographers. On the occasion of the “reGeneration 2005-2025” exhibition organised by the Musée de l’Elysée in Lausanne, 50 young photographers from the world’s best art schools exhibited their works in the main cities of the various continents.

Jaeger-LeCoultre gave them carte blanche to immortalise the workshops of the Manufacture, a project resulted in the publication of a book entitled Portraits of a Manufacture. It also features the work of eminent photographers in each edition of its richly illustrated Yearbook. This year, Jaeger-LeCoultre sponsored the exhibition ‘The Art of behind the scenes’presented during the Cannes film Festival and showcasing photography by some of the world’s most accomplished ‘on-set’ photographers.

Jaeger-LeCoultre’s affinities with cinema and photography stem from the inherent kinship between two worlds infused with the same creative effervescence, inspired by a longstanding tradition and a quest for excellence. For more than a decade, the Brand has also been closely associated with many artistic film festivals around the world, including Venice, Shanghai, San Sebastian, Los Angeles, Toronto, and New York. Jaeger-LeCoultre gives particular support to the talents who daily contribute to creating and bringing life to the world of filmmaking.

Jaeger-LeCoultre’s involvement in photography dates back to 1938, when LeCoultre & Cie manufactured the Compass, a full-featured camera small enough to fit in a cigarette packet based on a demanding design by Englishman Noel Pemberton-Billing, a reality that only a replica watchmaker could fulfill.

Two Worlds can be viewed from November 17th – 30th at the Jaeger-LeCoultreBoutique from Monday through Saturday, from 10am to 6pm.
